Chicago White Sox: At least one player is leading in one major category
It’s not breaking news that the Chicago White Sox are not one of the better teams in Major League Baseball, but they can at least say they’re not as bad as the Colorado Rockies. The White Sox thankfully avoided another sweep as they sent the Milwaukee Brewers on their merry ways in the series finale, beating them 8-0.
The White Sox in the game were 3-11 with runners in scoring position and had their victory come off the back of Luis Robert Jr., who had one heck of a game. Even though Robert Jr. has gotten off to a slow start to the season, this game could be a sign that he’s turning things around.

The White Sox 8-0 victory saw Robert Jr. score half of their runs (4) and go 2-2 with runners in scoring position. Luis’s big moment at the plate came in the bottom of the seventh inning when he hit a bases-clearing double off Brewers rookie reliever Craig Yoho.

The most impressive part of the game didn’t come at the plate for Luis but in the field, as in the top of the first inning, he robbed a potential grand slam from Brewer’s first baseman Rhys Hoskins.

Not only did Luis make his presence known at the plate and in the field, he didn’t forget to add his mark on the base paths. Even though he had one stolen base in the game, it was significant as it put him in the lead for the American League, according to Baseball/Sports Reporter Francys Romero.

This stolen base also moved Robert Jr. into a tie with Elly De La Cruz with the major league-led, with them both having 13 on the year.
This production by Robert Jr. needs to continue
The White Sox desperately needs Robert Jr. to continue this level of offensive production to win more games. Overall, Robert Jr. is still hitting under .200 (.183) and still has under a .700 OPS for the season, which hopefully will start to increase as he finds his grove.
If the Sox are to find the best trade partner for Robert Jr., he’ll need to keep this production at the plate up. Hopefully, with the calendar shifting to May, fans will see a completely different hitter at the plate.
