Chicago Cubs’ Kyle Tucker received medical ‘treatment’ after Brewers’ game: Report

Chicago Cubs right fielder Kyle Tucker (30) during the ninth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers during the Tokyo Series at Tokyo Dome.

The Chicago Cubs saw key players Shota Imanaga and Kyle Tucker get dinged up during their 4-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday in front of 37,360 fans at American Family Field.

Imanaga suffered a hamstring strain and had to exit the game during the sixth inning after he gave up two runs earlier in the inning. Cubs manager Craig Counsell appeared worried when updating reporters about the starting pitcher’s injury.

Imanaga is set to have more testing done. He exited Tuesday night’s game early due to cramps.

Tucker suffered a minor injury in the ninth inning when sliding on a stolen base with one out and the Cubs trailing 4-0.

Per Bruce Levine of 670 The Score, Tucker said he fell awkwardly on the slide and received “some form” of treatment. He believes he will be in the lineup when Chicago hosts the San Francisco Giants on Monday.

“Cubs Kyle Tucker on stolen base slide in 9th. ‘ I fell awkwardly on my right thigh. It didn’t feel the greatest but I am alright.’ Tucker said they did some form of treatment after the game. ‘I am alright and I’ll be in the lineup tomorrow’ he said,” Levine posted on X.

Tucker appears fine for now, but this could be a situation to keep an eye on this week.

Tucker went 2-for-3 at-bat and took a walk on Sunday. The star right fielder is batting .292/.399/.577 with nine home runs and an OPS of .975 this season.
