"The Halt Fentanyl Act" & Opponents Of It! Elected Politicians Encouraging Fentanyl Crisis!

The HALT Fentanyl Act is not just about strengthening law enforcement — it is about saving lives and protecting communities according to the Drug Enforcement Association (DEA), which is sending a stern message that America will not stand by for the further destruction of lives by Fentanyl.

The bill has also been endorsed by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and is supported by 40 advocacy groups, including 25 State Attorneys General, 11 major law enforcement organizations, nine major medical associations, and Facing Fentanyl, a coalition of over 200 impacted family groups.

The HALT Fentanyl Act is urgently needed to assist law enforcement crack down on illegal trafficking and get deadly Fentanyl out of our communities thus saving lives — especially our young people.  Synthetic opioids like Fentanyl account for 66 percent of the total U.S. overdose deaths.

In the last two fiscal years, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized record amounts of Fentanyl—nearly 50,000 pounds—enough to produce more than 2 billion lethal doses.

Now I am going to take this article to a level unheard of.  Sixteen US Senate Democrats voted against classifying Fentanyl as a Schedule 1 drug opposing the HALT Fentanyl Act, which ultimately passed the Senate with an 84-16 vote.  You may find the below information interesting.

I’ll begin with the lone independent voter against the bill, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who often aligns with left-wing Democrats on spending and criminal justice issues.  Sanders refers to himself as the “people’s politician”, but what do we actually know about him?  Here is an enlightening synopsis of his education and work experience:

In 1964, Sanders graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago.  While a student he was a protest organizer and admitted to being a mediocre student.  He was also a member of the Socialist Party of America.

After college, he worked as a carpenter and filmmaker creating radical film strips for schools.

Sanders ran for Mayor of Burlington, VT in 1981 and served until 1989.  From 1990 until 2004, he served on the House of Representatives.  He served as US Senator in Vermont from 2006 until the present.

Bernie Sanders has a blended family with seven young grandchildren.  His net worth is $3,000,000, mostly from speaking engagements and book deals and $15,000,000 from wealthy pharma donations.

Residences – he owns three properties in Vermont and DC.  It appears it pays not to have a profession or work resume when you can become a multi-millionaire politician.

Shame on them and the people who vote them into office thereby condoning lucrative lifestyles and disregard for our next generation.
