The New York Jets made a major investment in the trenches by selecting Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou with their first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Membou entered the college ranks as a highly regarded four-star recruit out of Lee’s Summit North High School in Missouri. Membou anchors well in pass protection and uses his hands to redirect defenders. He doesn’t get pushed back often and rarely loses the leverage battle. While he’s not the most fluid athlete in space, his short-area quickness and lower-body strength allow him to seal off lanes and generate movement in the run game.
Membou also brings a high football IQ and work ethic that shows up on tape. He processes stunts and blitzes quickly and rarely gets caught out of position. His awareness on the edge is a trait coaches will love, especially with a veteran quarterback like Aaron Rodgers behind center.
Membou profiles as a plug-and-play right tackle. In today’s NFL, having a reliable tackle who can win at the point of attack is essential, and the Jets believe they’ve found one.
