I’m late to this.

I’ve been a bit overwhelmed this week adjusting to my newly enlarged family.

The CofCC tracked thousands of black-on-White murders like this over the past twenty years. National Conservative still maintains the most comprehensive list of interracial homicides. There is nothing new about impulsive young black men like Karmelo Anthony committing murder and the media waving it away and sweeping it under the rug as another “senseless tragedy.” There is nothing new about grieving White parents trying to downplay the racial angle to these crimes either. Aiden Clark’s father said he wished his son had been “killed by a 60-year-old white man” instead of a Haitian immigrant.

“The teenager accused of fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf and leaving him to die in his twin brother’s arms at a high school track meet allegedly admitted to the senseless killing — but claimed it was in self-defense.

“I’m not alleged, I did it,” 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony chillingly told police in Frisco, Texas, as he was being arrested at Kuykendall Stadium, according to an arrest warrant obtained by NBC DFW.

The horrific stabbing was sparked when Anthony, who was sitting under another team’s pop-up tent as it rained Wednesday morning, was asked by Metcalf to move — and Anthony refused, according to the arrest report. …”

There is nothing new about the black community rallying around black murderers. Everyone knew O.J. Simpson murdered his ex-wife. He was acquitted anyway to stick it to the White man.

What is new here with the murder of Austin Metcalf is how the taboo on discussing black-on-White crime has dissolved on the mainstream Right. Ben Shapiro called for Trump to pardon Derek Chauvin last month. It was only five years ago that Matt Walsh was defending Ahmaud Arbery and calling the McMichaels murderers on Twitter. Now, he is basically doing Amren-style race realism.

I’ve been around long enough to remember when John Derbyshire was fired by National Review and treated as a pariah by Con, Inc. for publishing The Talk: The Non-Black Version at Takimag. I correctly noted at the time that dissident websites like OD, CofCC, SBPDL, VDARE, Amren, Alt Right, Takimag were willing to do the work that mainstream conservatism was unwilling to do.

The culture shifted between 2019 and 2025. It is a different world now. Black people lost their halo.
