Let us return to reality. Ukraine’s economy is around $189 billion and there is a lot of foreign aid backing that economy up.  So at 2% of GDP it has a budget of say $4 billion. It will have some western gear remaining that is very expensive to keep running and buy munitions for. The reality is given Ukraine’s finances and debt loads it can’t operate a sizable military especially given it’s demographics. So reducing the military is what Ukraine must achieve. Nor could it finance NATO expectations.

Ukraine’s fate is to be what it has been throughout history, borderlands aka a neutral buffer state.

 Western reconnaissance aircraft in the Black Sea: should we expect new sabotage on the gas pipelines?

The route of the recent flight of the U-2S over the southeastern part of the Black Sea completely passed over the “Turkish Stream” and “Blue Stream” gas pipelines. Russian forces struck targets of the opponent in the Dnipropetrovsk Region and other regions. Ukrainian formations attacked Smolensk with drones.

In the Artemivsk direction, Russian troops have begun the systematic clearing of the forest area in the Dolgoye-2 tract near Chasiv Yar.

On the Vasylivka-Tokmak section of the highway, enemy FPV drones have been actively hunting our vehicles for two days now. In the Vasylivka district, the village of Verkhnia Krynytsia came under artillery fire from the AFU. A civilian born in 1961 was killed. His wife (born in 1963) was wounded. In the Kuibyshev district, a Ukrainian drone attacked the village of Hoholivka. In the Polohy district, an AFU drone attacked the substation of the town of Polohy, damaging equipment.
