This is another example of Donald Trump cleaning up the mess that Joe Biden made in his first week in office and snapping back to some of the better policies of his first term.
“President Trump signed an order Monday calling on the Pentagon to formulate a new policy that would target transgender service members.
Why it matters: The order is not yet an outright ban on transgender service members, but it paves the way for one.
The big picture: The first Trump administration’s ban on military service by transgender people, which former President Biden rescinded in his early days in office, affected up to 15,000 service members. …”
Activists are fond of claiming that Trump and Biden have the same policies, but this is utterly false. There are all kinds of policies that swing wildly depending upon who is in office. The Keystone Pipeline is one example. Remain in Mexico is another example. The “trans” stuff is another example. The two parties also nominate wildly different people to the Supreme Court like Ketanji Brown Jackson.
In addition to the transgender ban, I’m hearing that some of our military bases are being renamed to repudiate Joe Biden’s legacy. Fort Bragg and Fort Benning are coming back. The resettlement of Afghan refugees has been halted. Soldiers who were kicked out of the military for refusing the COVID vax under Biden are being reinstated with back pay. Hegseth is expected to start firing generals. Mark Milley’s portrait was removed from the Pentagon within an hour of Trump taking the oath of office.
I know it is a small thing to be annoyed about, but I was personally sick and tired of being in Columbus, GA and seeing signs for Fort Moore or in Enterprise, AL and seeing Fort Novosel.
