A paranormal group investigated the Crocker Art Museum and makes a claim that it is haunted. Well now, I will have to find out for myself. Let’s get some history about this museum. The Crocker Art Museum is the oldest art museum in the Western United States. The museum was founded in 1885. You will find a lot of California art in this museum. The collection includes American works dating from the Gold Rush to the present, European paintings and master drawings, one of the largest international ceramics collections in the U.S., and collections of Asian, African, and Oceanic art. How did it all begin? A wealthy California lawyer and judge by the name of Edwin B. Crocker. (1818 – 1875) and his lovely wife Margaret Crocker (1822–1901), began to collect some very important paintings and drawings during an extended trip to Europe, from 1869 to 1871. Upon their return to Sacramento, they set about creating an art gallery in part of their grand home at the corner of Third and O streets. When the gallery was completed, it was open to the public with proceeds going towards the Sacramento Library. With 694 paintings, the gallery boasted the largest private collection in the country, and held more paintings than the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Notables that have visited the museum are a Hawaiian queen named Liliʻuokalani (1878), President Ulysses S. Grant (1879), and Oscar Wilde (1882).
On this investigation, I brought along psychic medium Wish Fire. Wish Fire detected on the 3rd floor an entity of Asian origin. Deanna described the entity as a short possibly Chinese man in traditional Chinese wardrobe. The entity was looking at some of the artistic pieces displayed along the walls. Mills Longer, a resident of San Bernardino has told me that 2 years ago in July, during dusk, he saw an apparition of a woman that looked to be crying at Crocker Park. As he approached her, she simply faded away. I brought along my 2 psychic dogs Champagne and Ire. They usually can detect the presence of a ghost. As we walked around Crocker Park, the dogs were sniffing a lot of things, but did not seem to notice any ghostly activity. I went back into the museum and on the 2nd floor, I captured this EVP. It sounds like a man saying “good form”. I will let you be the judge, here is that EVP:
EVP – Possibly saying “good form”?

The ghost hunting group that investigated the Crocker Art Museum claim they captured evidence of both physical and psychological hauntings. They heard strange noises, disembodied footsteps, doors closing where there are no doors, knocking sounds, feeling watched or followed. One of their investigators says that they bumped into someone and there was no one there.
Legend has it that Margaret Crocker, who gifted the museum to the city in 1885, continues to watch over it. Some claim that they have seen her apparition walking down the hallway. The Cowell Gallery, found in the Mansion Wing, is a notorious hotspot for ghostly encounters. At this location, I captured an EVP that sounded like “heavy breathing”. I will dismiss this EVP, because that could have been me, after I walked a flight of steps. You know, getting old, I don’t go up steps like I used to, but I don’t recall breathing heavy…so, this EVP I will not claim as evidence, because it is questionable. Wish Fire also seen an apparition of a woman hovering over the busts of 3 people’s heads. The busts were art pieces. If you ask me if the Crocker Art Museum located at 216 O St, Sacramento, CA 95814 is haunted. My answer is “yes”. 1. I believe that Wish Fire saw what she saw. 2. The “good form” EVP was clear as day and there was no one around me, when I conducted that EVP session. The Crocker Art Museum warrants a more thorough investigation.
