India Strikes Nine Terrorist Camps in Pakistan In Retaliation for Deadly Islamic Attack
India has suffered historically and continues to suffer at the hands of Islam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been the first Indian Prime Minister since independence who has refused to be supine before Islamic jihad terrorism.
In retaliation for the slaughter of 26 tourists in Kashmir, most of whom were Indian. Wall Street Journal: India said it conducted military strikes on nine sites in Pakistan in retaliation for a deadly militant attack on tourists in Kashmir, intensifying a confrontation between the nuclear-armed neighbors. The Indian defense ministry said its forces carried out strikes on camps terrorists have used to stage attacks against India, according to a statement released on Wednesday…. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to hunt the attackers “to the ends of the earth,” a message he has repeated in recent days. Pakistan warned last week that Indian action was imminent. “Pakistan will not be the first to resort to any escalatory move,” Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said. “However, in case of any escalatory move by the Indian side, we will respond very strongly” (Wall Street Journal)

It has been 76 years since the creation of Pakistan, after India agreed to let go of a massive part of its land so that Muslims could build a country for themselves. One would like to believe that every Muslim in India who desired an Islamic republic, “the land of the pure,” a Pakistan, would have packed their bags and left in 1947. That Pakistan, in the past 76 years and after several wars and numerous terror attacks, has proved to be India’s arch-rival, a sworn enemy, is common knowledge. Hence, the occasional echoes of “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) from inside India stands unacceptable. Who are these loyalists of Pakistan who missed the train seven decades ago? One wonders. It turns out they didn’t mistakenly miss the train, but, exploiting India’s generous decision to grow as a secular state, they stayed back to create a thousand Pakistans inside Indian borders. The slogan of “Pakistan Zindabad” has always been heard from these undeclared little Pakistans scattered throughout India.(more at Jihad Watch)

Reuters has this rundown of the nine places targeted by India in its attack:
Markaz Taiba camp – India says the camp, 25 km (16 miles) from the de-facto border, was the headquarters of militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which has been linked to last month’s attack
Markaz Subhan camp – the target deepest in Pakistan, about 100 km (62 miles) from the border, India claims this camp was the headquarters of Islamist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). The group has said ten relatives of its leader have been killed
Mehmoona Joya camp – a training facility of militant group Hijbul Mujahideen 12 km (7 miles) from the border
Gulpur camp – a base for LeT located 30 km (19 miles) from the border, India says
Sarjal camp – 6 km (4 miles) inside Pakistan
Abbas camp – located 13 km (8 miles) from the border, India claims LeT suicide bombers were trained here
Syedna Belal camp – India claims this was a JeM staging area
Sawai Nala camp – Located about 30 km (19 miles) from the de-facto border, India claims this was a training camp for LeT
Barnala camp – India claims terrorists trained here in weapons handling

India strikes Pakistan as tension between nuclear-armed neighbors following terror attack reaches fever pitch
By Shane Galvin, NY Post, May 6, 2025:
India launched airstrikes against Pakistan and Pakistani-controlled Kashmir on Wednesday, leaving at least eight dead and dozens more injured in an attack its fellow nuclear-armed South Asian neighbor has called an “act of war.”
India’s “Operation Sindoor” struck a total of nine Pakistani sites utilizing precision weapons, including drones, on Wednesday, targeting locations “where terrorist attacks against India have been planned,” the Indian military said.
Pakistani officials claimed the bombings killed 26 people and injured 46 more, including five civilians who were killed in Ahmedpur East in the province of Punjab.

After the strikes, Pakistani troops indiscriminately fired across the border into Indian-controlled Kashmir — killing three civilians, the Indian army said.
Pakistan also claimed to have shot down as many as five Indian aircraft, including fighter jets. Those claims were not confirmed by the Indian military as of Tuesday night.
One aircraft crashed into a school building in the outskirts of Srinagar, the main city in Indian-controlled Kashmir. Civilian aircraft flying into Srinagar were halted Tuesday night on orders of the Indian army.
“The entire nation stands with the Pakistani armed forces, and the morale and spirit of the entire Pakistani nation are high,” Sharif posted on X, claiming only five locations were targeted.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi oversaw the military operation but has not yet publicly commented.
Targeted cities include Ahmedpur East, Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Muzaffarabad, which is the main city of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
India claims to have targeted the headquarters of Islamic militant groups Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke.
“India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution,” a statement from India said.
A Pakistani military spokesman told broadcaster Geo that two mosques were among the sites hit by India and disputed claims India only targeted terrorists.

Indian broadcaster CNN News-18 said India’s attack killed 12 “terrorists” and injured at least 55 people, citing Indian sources. ZUMAPRESS.comAfter the airstrikes, Muzaffarabad lost power, Reuters reported, citing witnesses.
US officials have weighed in on the boiling over of tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
“I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely. I echo @POTUS’s comments earlier today that this hopefully ends quickly and will continue to engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on X Tuesday night.
Earlier, President Trump called the situation “a shame” and added, “I hope it ends quickly.”
