In July 2021, Dutch crime reporter Peter R. De Vries was murdered in Amsterdam. Several suspects involved in the killing have been convicted and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment. It is widely suspected by police that Moroccan Mafia (Mocro Maffia) leader, Raduan Taghi, ordered the killing.

Today, the news is just breaking in the Netherlands and Curaçao that an additional suspect, a 39-year-old man (not further identified) has been charged in connection with the murder. The man is currently incarcerated in Curaçao and has been in custody since 2014.

Koraal Specht (Willemsted)- Authorities in the Detention and Correction Center of Curaçao, together with officers of RST (Cooperative Investigating Team), Police, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office detained a man in the facility on suspicion of having been involved in the death of Peter R. De Vries.

He is a 39-year-old man who has been incarcerated in Curaçao since 2014. There is suspicion that the man was in contact to help organize the death of De Vries, who lost his life in a murder in July 2021
