State Rep Censured for Opposing Boys in Girls Sports
Allowing men to play in women’s sports robs honors from those who deserve them and gets girls hurt. Moonbat-ruled Maine has defied Trump’s executive order abolishing this grotesque absurdity. There is resistance to the LGBT agenda, even in Maine. But tolerant liberals hammer it down:
The Maine House of Representatives voted to censure Rep. Laurel Libby (R-Auburn) for posting on her legislative Facebook page photographs and personal details about a transgender high school athlete.
The House is controlled by Democrats. Here’s what the censure means:
After the 75-70 vote Tuesday night to censure — an official statement of condemnation by the Legislature — Libby declined to submit an apology to the body, meaning she is in violation of the House rules and therefore unable to cast a vote or speak on the floor until she complies.
Until then, the voters who elected her will be left unrepresented.
House Minority Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham (R-Winter Harbor) explains what the censure means in a broader sense:
“It sets a standard that says that the majority party, when they’re displeased with a social media post that upsets them, can censure a member of the minority party, and by a majority vote, censure them.”

As for shrill Democrat accusations that Libby is doxing a student by mentioning his name and showing a photo, via Breitbart:
“It’s a remarkable double standard as there are public photos of this individual in many places, on social media, and even some posted by his school, and so yes, this post went viral, but this was an individual who participated in a public event, who publicly stood on a podium and accepted a championship medal that rightfully belonged to the girls standing on the second-place spot,” Libby said.
