Maryam Rajavi Meets Mayor Rudy Giuliani In Paris Today
The leader of the opposition and the President of National Council of Resistance of Iran, Maryam Rajavi was present in Paris today and will be staying to attend the political gathering event on 1 July.
Today she met with Mayor, Rudy Giuliani to push her efforts further so that the oppression of Iranian people by the current regime could be highlighted. She spoke with the mayor Rudy Giuliani at the NCRI headquarters in Auvers-Sur-Oise, northwest of Paris and he agreed that Iranian resistance is a viable alternative to the current mullah regime in Iran.
The Iranian government has been suppressing its people for last 38 years, and their activities are causing widespread instability in the Middle East region. Mayor Guiliani was quick to point out that the current regime has been blatantly disregarding human rights not only in Iran but also causing fear and crisis in the region.
President Rohani has kept his grip firmly over the government especially since the sham election last month which was boycotted by thousands. And now with the recent ISIS attack on the parliament and increasing terrorism in the country, it is high time that the world takes notice of the situation.
On the other hand, preparations are in full swing for an unprecedented event in Paris for a Free Iran happening on 1 July, against terrorism and extremism in the name of Islam. It is a call for a stand against the Iranian regime’s destructive regional interference role and also for a new approach to theocracy ruling Iran. It will be attended by dozens of dignitaries and policy makers from US, Europe, and the Middle East. The official delegation of the Syrian opposition will also be participating in this event, voicing support for alternative Iran.
The July 1st gathering is a response to the need of a solution to Iran’s crisis.
