Junior Miner Discovers Extensive Visible Gold at Halo Zone in Central BC

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (GCC:CSE; GCCFF:OTC; A0RLEP:WKN; 3TZ:FSE) is excited about a “standout season” as the company recently announced it had intercepted new visible gold mineralization in its Halo zone property.

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (GCC:CSE; GCCFF:OTC; A0RLEP:WKN; 3TZ:FSE) recently announced the news from drill hole QGQ24-21 on the Halo zone at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz property.

In the announcement, it was released that drill hole QGQ24-21 Intersected a “zone of persistent gold mineralization,” which included “multiple occurrences of visible gold, starting from 257 meters downhole.” This would mark the ninth continuous drill hole showing visible gold since the Halo zone was discovered.

In Halo zone’s most recent drilling prior to the release, visible gold was discovered within a network of quartz-carbonate-pyrite veins. These veins are found in intensely altered greenstone, specifically intermediate to mafic volcanic rocks that show significant sericite and iron-carbonate alteration. This mineralization pattern matches what was previously observed in the area. (Photos are available on Golden Cariboo’s website).

Drill hole QGQ24-21 first passed through 257 meters (843.2 feet) of carbonaceous argillites in the hanging wall before reaching the greenstone formations. The mineral deposits appear to have a close relationship with shear zones located at contact points, similar to findings in the previous QGQ24-20 drill hole, as reported on February 25, 2025.

QGQ24-21 was positioned at a 355° azimuth with a -45° inclination to optimally intersect various vein directions and lithological contacts. Drilling began in December 2024 and continues presently in April 2025, currently reaching a depth of 285.3 meters (936 feet). The operation has not yet encountered the lower boundary of the mineralized zone.

An Epochal Bull Market for Gold

Many analysts and experts in the industry have shared a bullish sentiment on gold. On April 14, Global Analyst Adrian Day reviewed possible market implications that may arise from Trump’s tariff policies. He wrote that “gold has the best risk-reward profile.”

He continued, “Though commodities are generally likely to outperform, they have a risk that gold will not, namely a sharp economic slowdown in China and global economic retraction. Gold, however, does not have that risk.” He stated that current moves by the Trump administration will not impact gold, and “gold thus is likely to continue to move higher, notwithstanding a near-term overdue pullback.”

The same day, The Northern Miner reported that Goldman Sachs had raised its gold price target for the end of 2025 to US$3,700 an ounce. This, according to The Northern Miner, was due to “uncertainty surrounding the state of the global economy.” The Northern Miner also reported on UBS’ upgraded 2025 gold price target, which was raised from US$3,200 to US$3,500, with UBS saying, “The case for adding gold allocations has become more compelling than ever in this environment of escalating tariff uncertainty, weaker growth, higher inflation, and lingering geopolitical risks.”

Technical Analyst Clive Maund also threw his opinion in to the ring in an April 14 post on his website. Maund analyzed the charts for gold and silver and concluded that “it looks like we are still in the early stages of what should prove to be an epochal bull market for the precious metals sector that could dwarf all previous ones.”

Golden Cariboo Continues It’s Campaign

While gold continues to soar, Golden Cariboo has been making moves with its Halo Zone. In March, the company said it had identified two “significantly sized” gold in Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) soil anomalies north of the currently known extent of the Halo zone at Quesnelle.

Detailed analysis of the MMI soil data between Hixon Creek and Buckley Creek “has revealed gold anomalies that have been shown to correlate with known gold mineralization of the trenching and diamond drilling program,” geologist David Mark said. “This, therefore, shows that MMI is invaluable in outlining gold targets within the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property. As such, it has revealed numerous gold anomalies throughout the MMI survey area that are new targets for future exploration.”

Earlier drilling results this year also significantly extended the Halo zone.

“Drill hole QGQ24-20 capped off a remarkable year, stepping out 100 meters and delivering another exceptional intercept that affirms the Halo zone as a major discovery in the Cariboo Gold District,” Callaghan said. “Greenstone contacts host many of the world’s premier gold camps, and we have now identified one only 4 kilometers from a major highway and community in central British Columbia.”

According to Technical Analyst Clive Maund, while “the grades found are good, the big news here is the extent of it.”

During its exploration, the company has found multiple occurrences of visible gold in its core results from the project.

“Visible gold in current drilling indicates potential for high-grade assays from mineralized targets,” Couloir Capital Senior Mining Analyst Ron Wortel wrote of the project in a recent research report as he assigned a Buy recommendation for the company’s stock, citing Golden Cariboo’s exploration initiatives as a unique opportunity for exposure to a gold resource discovery in a Tier 1 jurisdiction.

Catalyst: An Anticipated Standout Season

Throughout the year, Golden Cariboo plans to continue its 12-month continuous drilling and exploration program. The expectation is that the company will be drilling 7,500 meters and around 25 holes. [OWNERSHIP_CHART-11131]

In the release this morning, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Frank Callaghan commented, “Building on the success of last year’s exceptional discovery at our Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, the whole crew couldn’t wait to resume drilling in 2025. Ownership and Share Structure

According to Golden Cariboo, management and insiders own 12.2% of the company, and President and Chief Executive Officer Frank Callaghan owns nearly 11%.

Retail investors hold the remaining. There are no institutional investors.

The company said it has 60.3 million shares outstanding, and its market cap is CA$8.43 million. Over the past 52 weeks, Golden Cariboo has traded between CA$0.10 and CA$0.36 per share.
