Rand Paul on Trudeau, an Ontario College student goes from victim to genocidal maniac at Warp 3, and Liberal cabinet member Minister Dan Vandal on Trudeau: Links 1 for December 19, 2024

I’d like to start this post with an interesting quote from Emmanuel Kant:

1. Rand Paul uses Trudeau’s abuse of power during the Freedom Convoy as a cautionary tale for the US in order to remove this kind of exorcise of power from the president.

While his argument is very good, and compelling, he is a bit misleading on a couple of points.

The protests at the borders were not connected to the Ottawa group, other than in the nature of the grievance. It was also the most peaceful and supported protest of all time in Canada, despite what coordinated leftist attacks on it maintain in narratives.
Secondly, in no way did the Freedom Convoy shut the capitol down. Trucks left a lane open on all of the half dozen streets they parked on. And it was only a few streets for a total of maybe a dozen blocks that could be said to be “shut down” but where not. In FACT the only thing that caused a shut down, was the Mayor of Ottawa at the time, ordering businesses to close and not serve the truckers or the protestors.
Literally, the shut down was ordered by the leftist state, and then blamed on the truckers, who made a VERY public proclamation that all businesses in the area of downtown should open up and prepare for the best sales they have had in over 2 years.

This would have been the case for the ones that did do so. In fact the Tim Hortons on Sparks st. somehow managed to ignore the shut-down order from mayor Jim Watson, and they did VERY well.

2. Ontario Student makes arguably the very best proof that hate speech laws are a tool of destruction for Western peoples. Listen closely and then let us see what doesn’t happen to him as a result.

Wouldn’t you like to have him delivering your food? Or driving your daughter to her friend’s house, or Taylor Swift dance party.

We already know what won’t happen in any meaningful way. We do know what happens to anyone who says anything true about Islam, Islamic history, if men can be women in any way much less simply by saying so etc. etc.
