As of today, there are already some highly anticipated releases coming later in the year. For example, gamers everywhere are currently hoping to pre-order exciting options like GTA 6. While Rockstar Games’ product is almost impossible to ignore, it isn’t the only new gaming rerelease worth adding to your list of games you’re hoping to acquire in the near future. 

In fact, from leading console products to online slot games at McLuck and other trusted gaming websites, the options are extensive on a diverse range of prominent gaming platforms. Already, gamers have been inundated with an enticing selection of trailers and new releases. While products like GTA 6 are expected to hog the limelight somewhat, there are other new gaming releases worth saving up for.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

If action-adventure games are your sort of thing, then you simply have to purchase Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This highly anticipated sequel was released on February 21 and contains so many enticing features. While it might seem a tad crazy to begin with, this spin-off from the Yakuza series of games is a must-play product. Featuring Goro Majima, you can expect sheer mayhem in this one. 

Split Fiction

A game you’ve been able to explore since March 6, Split Fiction received plenty of plaudits at the 2024 Game Awards. Whether it will receive even more recognition in the year ahead remains to be seen, but Split Fiction’s blend of sci-fi and fantasy has clearly created plenty of intrigue. For people with a passion for action-adventure products, the testing puzzles to crack and the eye-catching worlds to explore will surely appeal here. Split Fiction is a title with big potential. 

Civilization VII

The Civilisation games have been around for a good few years now, but the risky strategy game is back with a bang in 2025. In Civilization VII, players can expect another city-building masterpiece filled with challenges. The seventh installment in this much-loved series has gone down a treat so far, as gamers select a new civilization for each age and embark on a gaming adventure that is hard to put down once you immerse yourself in it. 

Citizen Sleeper 2

Released at the end of January, Citizen Sleeper 2 is the follow-up to the first game with the same name. An inventive text-driven adventure title that wowed gamers when it first came to the fore in 2022, the latest version of the game features a long story, a whole suite of new mechanics, and even more impressive graphics. It’s a title well worth exploring.

South of Midnight

At the time of writing, South of Midnight is yet to be released, but it’s expected to hit the market on April 8. Likely to contain gothic folklore and strong doses of scariness, big things are expected of this new Microsoft exclusive. A first-person action-adventure title where magic and monsters are on show throughout, gamers and experts alike are clearly very excited for South of Midnight.

Released right at the end of February, Monster Hunter Wilds has gathered serious momentum in more recent weeks.
