The Economic Activity Composite (EAC), our real-time measure of marginal economic activity in the United States, is falling fast, while the President, Treasury Secretary, and Federal Reserve Chairman point out the economy is strong and on target for a soft landing. KB Homes Slides After Earnings Miss
KB Home recently reported its fiscal Q1 earnings, which fell short of expectations. The company posted revenue of $1.39 billion, missing analyst estimates of $1.50 billion. Earnings per share were $1.49, below the expected $1.59. Net income for the quarter was $109.6 million. The company cited affordability concerns and macroeconomic uncertainties as factors affecting home buying decisions.
