The Abraham Accords - Prophesied 7-Year Peace Agreement - The Latest Update
Posted May 14, 2025 | End Times Watch
In a world trembling with uncertainty, one of the most surprising developments in modern Middle Eastern diplomacy has been the Abraham Accords—a series of normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab nations.
On the surface, they appear to be peaceful, practical partnerships. But for Bible-believing Christians, the accords may signal something much deeper: the unfolding of prophetic events foretold in Scripture. Now, in 2025, these accords are gaining fresh momentum — and possibly expanding.
What Are the Abraham Accords?
The Abraham Accords are a series of diplomatic agreements between Israel and a growing list of Arab and Muslim-majority countries. Named after the patriarch Abraham — a figure revered by Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike — the accords seek to turn shared history into a shared future of cooperation and peace.
The original signing took place on September 15, 2020, on the White House lawn. Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain were the first to formally establish diplomatic ties under the framework. Soon after, Sudan and Morocco joined the movement.
These agreements have led to open embassies, direct flights, economic deals, tourism exchanges, and unprecedented cultural and technological cooperation.
The Abraham Accords ARE NOT the 7-year peace agreement that is spoken of in Daniel 9:27 (KJV), but I believe that this group, coming together, will indeed be instrumental in signing this important document that will start the 7-year tribulation Period.
Who is Responsible for Creating and negotiating the Abraham Accords?
Key U.S. Figures Behind the Abraham Accords
- President Donald J. Trump
- Role: Visionary and driving force behind the Accords.
- Trump’s administration prioritized a new approach to Middle East peace, focusing on shared economic and security interests rather than resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict first.
- He hosted the signing ceremony at the White House on September 15, 2020.
- Jared Kushner (Trump’s Senior Advisor and son-in-law)
- Role: Chief negotiator and architect of the deal.
- Kushner led multiple high-level meetings across the Middle East, forming backchannel relationships and promoting regional cooperation.
- He also co-authored the “Peace to Prosperity” plan, which helped frame the broader strategy behind normalization.
- Avi Berkowitz (Special Representative for International Negotiations)
- Role: Key negotiator alongside Kushner.
- Played an instrumental role in finalizing the details of the agreements with each country.
The Founding Members and Who Presently Belong Under the Abram Accords
The current signatories of the Abraham Accords include:
- Israel
- United Arab Emirates
- Bahrain
- Sudan
- Morocco
Each country joined with its own motivations, from countering regional threats like Iran to unlocking economic partnerships with Israel’s powerful tech sector.
United States is a key facilitator and official party to the Abraham Accords—but not a signatory in the same way as the Middle Eastern nations.
Who’s Next? The Future of the Accords
In 2025, President Donald Trump — who brokered the original agreements during his first term — has returned to the Middle East with a renewed mission: expand the Abraham Accords.
Saudi Arabia – The Key Prize
During a high-profile visit to Riyadh in May 2025, President Trump called on Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to join the Accords. He praised the Crown Prince’s leadership and emphasized the opportunity to usher in a new era of peace. If Saudi Arabia were to join, it would be a massive milestone — both symbolically and geopolitically — due to its status as the heart of the Muslim world.
Syria – A Surprise Candidate
In a stunning turn of events, President Trump also met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa — a leader with a complicated past. Trump offered to lift U.S. sanctions on Syria if the country agreed to join the Abraham Accords and normalize relations with Israel. Such a move would have been unimaginable just a few years ago. The door to peace, however, appears to be opening in unexpected places.
Lebanon – Watching Closely
Lebanon, a country historically at odds with Israel, has also been floated as a potential candidate. Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, recently suggested that Lebanon could follow in Syria’s footsteps if regional power dynamics shift further away from Iran’s influence.
Why It Matters
The Abraham Accords are more than handshakes and photo ops. They represent a reimagining of what’s possible in the Middle East. For decades, peace seemed out of reach. Now, with countries opening embassies and exchanging tourists, students, and ideas, a new story is being written — one of mutual respect, shared prosperity, and regional stability.
And while not everyone supports the normalization process, particularly groups aligned with Iran or militant ideologies, the Accords have proved that peace is not only possible — it’s profitable, popular, and contagious.
Prophecy and the Middle East: What the Bible Says
1. Israel at the Center of World Affairs
The Bible has long foretold that Israel would be a focal point in the last days:
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about… And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people.”
— Zechariah 12:2–3 (KJV)
Israel, reborn as a nation in 1948, is increasingly at the center of global politics. The Abraham Accords underscore that reality—Israel is no longer isolated but is becoming a bridge between East and West, between ancient prophecy and modern politics.
2. A False Peace in the Last Days?
The prophet Daniel warned of a coming ruler who would “confirm the covenant with many for one week”, initiating the seven-year Tribulation:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”
— Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
Some Bible scholars believe this “covenant with many” could resemble peace accords involving Israel and multiple nations. While the Abraham Accords themselves are not this final covenant, they may very well pave the way—normalizing Israel’s place in the region, setting the stage for a charismatic world leader to emerge and offer a false peace.
3. The Rise of a One-World Government and Religion
The book of Revelation describes a time when the world will be united under a single government and religious system:
“And all the world wondered after the beast… And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast.”
— Revelation 13:3–4 (KJV)
As nations unite politically and spiritually, the Abraham Accords likely will be part of the geopolitical framework that allows for future global governance—a stepping stone toward the rise of the Antichrist. The merging of diplomacy, economy, and faith under one umbrella could fit precisely into that end-times model.
4. Peace, Then Sudden Destruction
Paul’s warning in 1 Thessalonians ties directly into the illusion of peace:
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them… and they shall not escape.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)
The Abraham Accords speak the language of “peace and safety.” But the Bible warns that true peace will not come until the Prince of Peace—Jesus Christ—returns. Until then, any peace deal may be temporary and even deceptive.
What to Watch For
- If Saudi Arabia joins the Accords, it will signal a monumental shift in Islamic-Israeli relations.
- If Syria joins, it could be a signal of realignment ahead of the prophetic wars foretold in Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38–39.
- If the Abraham Accords evolve into a comprehensive Middle East treaty, some will look to Daniel 9:27 and know: This is the covenant that starts the seven-year clock!
How Should Believers Respond?
Whether these events are a direct fulfillment of prophecy or simply setting the stage, Christians are called to be watchful, prayerful, and bold in their faith:
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
— Matthew 24:42 (KJV)
Rather than fear these developments, we should see them as signs that God’s Word is true, that His plan is unfolding, and that now is the time to share the hope of the Gospel more urgently than ever.
Final Thoughts: The Peace That Lasts
The Abraham Accords may offer political peace, but only Jesus Christ offers eternal peace. No accord, no alliance, no human leader can bring what only the Prince of Peace can deliver.
“And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
— Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
Are you watching? Are you ready? Peace, after all, starts with a conversation. And the Abraham Accords are helping nations speak again.
