The Most Important End Times Scripture in the KJV – Have You Read This??

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The world is changing fast. Chaos, confusion, deception, wars, and disasters are hitting us like waves—and many are beginning to realize this: We are living in the end times!

That being the case, people are searching for answers and want to know about the end times. It’s obvious that the most important place to find information about the last days would be the Bible. If you’ve ever wondered what the Bible really says about the end of the world, there’s one passage you simply cannot ignore. I feel that it is one of the most important scriptures relating to end times prophecy.

The Core of End Times Prophecy: Matthew 24

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

Matthew 24:21-22, KJV

Jesus Himself gave this solemn warning on the Mount of Olives. This chapter is often called the Olivet Discourse, and it is the most powerful, detailed prophecy from the lips of Christ about what will unfold in the final days. So, lets break it down and try to fully understand what He was wanting us to know from this passage.

What Does Jesus Reveal?

In Matthew 24, Jesus warns of:

  • False Christs and False Prophets
  • Wars and Rumors of Wars
  • Famines, Pestilences, and Earthquakes (Sound familiar?)
  • Persecution of Believers
  • The Gospel Preached in All Nations
  • The Abomination of Desolation (referencing Daniel’s end-time vision)
  • The Great Tribulation

These aren’t just vague signs. These are specific events, and many of them are already happening or beginning to take shape before our eyes. Just in one chapter, we are given 7 key points of the last days. Today, I would like to focus on The Last Tribulation Period of Time.

The 7-Year Tribulation – The Final Countdown

Let’s first examine where the period of seven years comes from. Understanding this is key, and give us an actual time reference to this end times prophecy.

Daniel’s 70th Week

Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”

  • The “one week” refers to a prophetic week—7 years (each day symbolizing a year).
  • He” is the Antichrist, who makes a covenant or peace agreement with Israel and many nations.

This passage of scripture gives an explosion of information that could be missed if not studied intently.

Let’s write it again, using the interpretations given above:

The Antichrist will make a peace agreement with Israel and other nations for the period of 7 years.”

This flushes out several key points of the end times. When a peace agreement is offered for a period of 7 years, we can view those who participated in this deal and know that one of the people involved will be the antichrist. This might be a bit anti dramatic, since the antichrist will be very well known for his leadership on the world stage, bringing a false peace to the world.

The timing of the agreement ties in to the most important part of the scripture. When this agreement is signed, it will begin the countdown of the final 7 years upon the earth.

Knowing this, I would like for you to read this well-known scripture again.

Matthew 24:36 (KJV)
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Did you catch that this time? We do not know the day nor the hour, but it doesn’t say anything about the year…correct? From the 7-year reference that was given to us in Daniel, we will know the YEAR of the Second Coming of the Savior by simply adding 7 years to the time that the peace agreement was signed.

This peace agreement will allow the 3rd temple to be built on the temple mount in Jerusalem. Seeing this activity, you can be assured that the agreement signed to allow this to happen was indeed the 7-year agreement that was spoken of in this scripture.

So, what happens in this 7-year Tribulation Period? Are their more scriptures that identify the details?

The 7-year tribulation is a prophesied period of intense judgment, deception, and spiritual testing on the earth immediately before the return of Jesus Christ to establish His millennial kingdom.

This time period is divided into two halves, each lasting 3.5 years:

  • The first half is marked by false peace, deception, and rising global control.
  • The second half is known as the Great Tribulation, filled with wrath, persecution, and cosmic upheaval.

Let’s break it down using KJV Scriptures:

The First Half – False Peace & Rising Power

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…”

In the beginning:

*The Antichrist appears as a man of peace, possibly solving the Middle East conflict.

*A rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem is likely constructed (since sacrifices are resumed). For those of you who are following this you are very aware of the “Unblemished” Red Hefford Cows that are currently in Jerusalem preparing to be sacrificed so that the temple can begin construction.

Numbers 19:2 (KJV)
“This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish…”

This ceremony was key to ritual purity—and especially necessary for temple service. Without the ashes of a red heifer, Jewish priests (Kohanim) cannot be ritually clean to serve in a rebuilt temple.

*The seal judgments in Revelation 6 begin:

    • War, famine, pestilence, death.
    • Martyrdom of believers.
    • Cosmic disturbances.

This is a time of increasing tension, though the full wrath of God has not yet been poured out. It starts out peaceful so that the antichrist can seduce followers through his deceptions, then things will get increasingly intense.

For those of you who believe in the Rapture of the Church, this would be a time that would make sense for it to occur.

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Revelation 3:10, KJV

We won’t go into detail of the rapture in this article, but I wanted to add it here for a time reference.

So, what happens during the final 3.5 years of the Tribulation Period? Let’s again look at the scripture from Daniel to see what the antichrist is up to midway through.

Midpoint – The Abomination of Desolation

Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”

  • Midway through the 7 years (after 3.5 years), he breaks the covenant and defiles the temple—this is the abomination of desolation (see Matthew 24:15).

The antichrist goes into the newly built temple in Jerusalem, sits on the throne and declares to the world who he truly is…Satan himself! Then, demands worship.

Matthew 24:15 (KJV)
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place…”

At 3.5 years:

  • The Antichrist enters the temple and declares himself to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
  • He demands worship, and a false prophet enforces a global religion.
  • The mark of the beast is introduced—without it, no one can buy or sell (Revelation 13:16-17).

This is a key time for all of us. No more Mr. Nice Guy. The antichrist is coming for all of us, and will demand that we worship him by taking his mark. Failure to do so will be the end of those who refuse… Or, will it? This is my own interpretation here, but I believe this is one of the reasons that God will rapture “His Church” at this time to save all of His children who are loyal to Him. Just like the Israelites were saved when God parted the Red Sea. If not the rapture, perhaps something else in the form of rescue.

This moment triggers the Great Tribulation and Wrath.

Revelation 13:7 (KJV)
“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them…”

This is when:

  • Some Believers remaining upon the earth are hunted and martyred.
  • The wrath of God is poured out in the trumpet and bowl judgments (Revelation 8–16).
  • Natural disasters, demonic torment, economic collapse, and global war erupt.
  • Armageddon draws near—nations gather to war against God and His people.

I’d like to discuss God’s Bowls of wrath right here. Let’s zoom out for just a moment. The end times is about God telling satan and his followers, enough is enough! The battle is between Good and Evil.

During this time, God wants to give every chance for everyone to see Jesus Christ as the Soon of God, and turn to Him. In this process He has decided to pour out punishments to those people who have taken the mark of the beast, as well as satan and his angles. So, remember, God’s fight is not with His Children. Those who follow Jesus Christ. When you read about these bowls of wrath, they are not for the believers of Christ.

The Seven Bowls of Wrath – Revelation 16 (KJV)

  1. First Bowl – Painful sores

“…there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast…”
Revelation 16:2

  1. Second Bowl – Sea turns to blood

“…and every living soul died in the sea.”
Revelation 16:3

  1. Third Bowl – Rivers and fountains become blood

“…for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink…”
Revelation 16:4–6

  1. Fourth Bowl – Scorching heat from the sun

“…power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.”
Revelation 16:8

  1. Fifth Bowl – Darkness on the beast’s kingdom

“…his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain.”
Revelation 16:10

  1. Sixth Bowl – Euphrates dries up; Armageddon preparations

“…that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.”
Revelation 16:12

  1. Seventh Bowl – The final earthquake and hail

“…a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth… and there fell upon men a great hail…”
Revelation 16:17–21

These judgments are global, devastating, and final—marking the climax of God’s wrath before Christ returns in glory (Revelation 19).

If any of you who are reading this article might be thinking, “Oh, I’ll just take the easy way, and take the mark of the beast,” I’d like you to go back and read what God intends to send to you. Some people might be thinking, “I have to take the mark so that I can feed my family, because without the mark, I can’t buy or sell.”

We cannot think this way. At this moment, all of the people are 3.5 years away from death, and those 3.5 years will be a living hell upon the earth. The easy way is the rapture, or even being put to death before all of this happens. Death is simply opening the door to a wonderful, peaceful, eternal life with Jesus Christ and people who are like minded.

Let’s move on to the finally – The Return of Christ

Revelation 19:11-16 (KJV)
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True…”

At the end of the 7 years:

  • Jesus returns from heaven with His saints.
  • He defeats the Antichrist and false prophet (cast into the lake of fire).
  • Satan is bound.
  • Jesus sets up His 1000-year reign—the Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20).

Wow… are you emotionally exhausted? What are your feelings right now? Scared, fearful, excited, uneasy? I think that all of those emotions are appropriate after studying this topic. But, let me offer my assistance.

Fear is usually increased due to the unknown. God has given us His plan for two reasons. If you’re on the wrong team, and are following evil right know, God wants you to know what He has planned for you…FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of repenting and devoting you r life to Jesus Christ… RIGHT NOW!

Secondly, for those who are currently following Christ, He wants you to see something. For all of those times when you are so fed up with evil acts upon children, innocent people, as well as how evil has impacted your life, Jesus is coming to take care of all of that. They are finally getting what they deserve.

Again, the final 3.5 years are not for us followers of Christ. I would like for you to pray to God when you have finished reading, and ask Him to give you further insight relating to the end times so that you can find PEACE. I strongly believe that He will rapture us all away prior to the last 3.5 years. What is God telling you?

Let’s see what He has said about finding peace in troubled times:

🔹 1. Jesus Is Our Peace

John 14:27 (KJV)
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Jesus offers His peace, not the fragile kind the world offers, but the kind that calms storms and defeats fear.

🔹 2. Trust in the Unchanging God

Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

When your heart is fixed on God, peace follows trust like a shadow follows the light.

🔹 3. Cast Your Cares on Him

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Prayer replaces anxiety. When you pour out your heart, God pours in His peace.

🔹 4. God Is a Present Help

Psalm 46:1-2 (KJV)
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear…”

Even if the mountains fall and the earth shakes, God is your steady place.

🔹 5. Jesus Has Overcome the World

John 16:33 (KJV)
“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Trouble is temporary. Jesus is eternal. Through Him, you already have the victory.

🔹 6. Let the Word Dwell in You

Psalm 119:165 (KJV)
“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”

Peace flows from loving and living the Word of God. Make Scripture your daily bread, and peace will feed your soul.

Final Encouragement

2 Thessalonians 3:16 (KJV)
“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.”

In these last days, chaos may increase, but so does God’s closeness to His people. If your eyes are on the storm, you’ll sink. But if your eyes are on Jesus, you’ll walk on the water.

It’s time right now to exercise your faith in Him. By doing so, you too can do the impossible and walk upon the water. You need not be afraid. You are not alone through all of this. You have God by your side, as well as His army. Trust Him…Reach for Him…Pray to Him… and He will guide you through this storm which He has already let us know how it all plays out. We WIN! And winning means that we will live with Him again in such a glorious peaceful place…Forever! Let that be your focus, rather than fear.

I leave my prayers and love with all of you. I am excited, and have asked God to allow me to be here the entire 7 years, as I am prepared to fight on His side. He died for me, and I would like to repay Him in some small way. “Oorah!”
