Violent Prayers Against Crime in Zimbabwe and South Africa
Zimbabweans and South Africans are resilient and hardworking nations, fighting against drought, poverty, and crime. Children in Zimbabwe are selling vegetables and goods to attend school and support themselves, often under difficult circumstances.
However, their struggles are exacerbated by rising crime. We pray for an end to crime, for the conversion of criminals, and for peace. We pray for the protection of innocent lives, particularly women and children, who are vulnerable to rape, robbery, and violence.
In South Africa, the situation is dire. White and Boer farmers, who produce food for the nation and beyond, are being targeted and harmed by crime. Many have lost their lives. We pray for an end to this senseless violence, so that everyone can live in peace.
Crime affects everyone in South Africa, regardless of race or background. It’s time for a change in societal attitudes toward punishing criminals. They are not victims but villains who must be stopped. We pray for the reinstatement of the death penalty for violent crimes and for the protection of innocent lives.
We also pray for courage and divine protection for the police, who are at the forefront of fighting crime. May they be empowered to bring perpetrators to justice.
