This was a fantastic thriller! The story moved quickly and kept me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next.
Evie Porter and Ryan Sumner are navigating a new relationship. Ryan is thinking about a future with Evie which is great, right? Maybe not so fast. Evie isn’t who she seems to be. In fact Evie has had several identities over the years. She works for the mysterious Mr. Smith who gives her a job and she does it. She’s never even met him. Lately though she’s been questioning how safe she is and suspecting she may be in danger. Then there is Ryan and she is feeling more than she has ever allowed herself to in the past. The stakes are high. Will she come out the winner or not at all?
The audiobook was awesome for two reasons. First the book is well written and really good. The second is that it is narrated by the amazing Saskia Maarleveld. She is in my top five of favourite narrators and I love when I see a book is read by her. I know I’m in for a treat as she has a beautiful voice for storytelling.
First Lie Wins is highly recommended for those who love mystery, suspense, and thrillers.
