Airports try lots of things in the endless battle to keep birds from the runway, but nothing beats a fast-moving falcon – with its razor-sharp talons, experts say.

“It is the best tool that we have available to us,” said Andrew Barnes, a veteran falconer in charge of clearing birds from the runways of McGuire Air Force Base in central New Jersey.

 

Barnes, 43, was raised in what is now Zimbabwe and has been practicing the medieval art of falconry for three decades. He works for Falcon Environmental Services Inc., based in upstate Plattsburgh.

Wells Fargo VP arrested, fired for urinating on airplane passenger: report

 

Air India de-rostered the crew members and pilot involved in the incident pending an investigation. Indian police on Saturday arrested a former top banking executive over allegations that he urinated on a passenger during an incident aboard an Air India plane in November.

Shankar Mishra, who at the time served as vice president of the Indian subsidiary of Wells Fargo, faces charges including sexual harassment, obscenity and insulting the modesty of a woman, Indian news agency Mirror Now reported. Mishra will sit in custody for 14 days as police further investigate the matter, but he has applied for bail, with a hearing set for Jan. 11.

 

So of course the airlines and airports are up to their eyeballs in corruption, lies, greed, child trafficking all of it. They treat us like criminals stripping us of our rights and dignity to basically strip search us looking for a bomb or whatever.
