Interesting. Seems that ‘god’ is any name at all. Wow, wonder if your kids called out for Bob, Tom, Tim, Lance, Billy, Martin, Jeff or Elias, if you would still answer them?
See, this stupidity breaks down when you actually apply it to the ‘two people standing at opposite ends of a darkened room, calling to each other’ scenario. If you see your ‘god’ as ‘just any old name’, then chances are, just any old demon will most-likely answer the call. If you don’t know your ‘god’, then chances are, he doesn’t care enough about you to give you his name.
The Old Testament said that with the return of Moses and Elijah, that the Messiah Emmanuel would come to save those worthy in the end. Seems awful funny that Emmanuel didn’t show up, and everyone’s just hunky-dory with this guy ‘Jesus’ coming instead, for them.
